Apex Trader Funding and Tradeify are two of the most-searched futures prop firms. This page compares them on the things that actually decide what you pay and whether you get paid: evaluation cost, activation and reset fees, drawdown type and payout rules.

What changed at Apex in 2026
Several independent sites report that on March 1, 2026 Apex launched a new product line for new accounts: one-time evaluation fees instead of monthly billing, a choice of end-of-day (EOD) trailing or intraday trailing drawdown, no resets on the new products, removal of the MAE and 5:1 risk-reward rules, a 50% consistency rule and automated payout processing. Legacy accounts reportedly keep their original rules. (DealPropFirm, Canadian Futures Trader; confirm on Apex's official site.)
What that means in practice: without resets, a failed attempt on Apex's new products means buying a new evaluation, so in the true cost calculator enter the full evaluation price as the "reset" cost for Apex.
How to compare the two yourself
- Checkout price, not list price. Both firms run frequent discounts. Use the price you actually see.
- Activation fee. Is there a fee to go from passed evaluation to funded account?
- Reset vs re-buy. Multiply by how many attempts you realistically need.
- Drawdown type. EOD trailing is usually more forgiving intraday than real-time trailing; static drawdown doesn't move.
- Payout rules. Minimum days, consistency rules, caps and buffers decide when you can withdraw.

Bottom line
There's no universal winner: the cheaper firm depends on the account size, current discount, and how many attempts you need. Run the numbers in the calculator and read each firm's current rules page before buying.
